RETURN POLICY

At Have A Seat NYC, we take pride in our products and want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not fully satisfied with an eligible item, we are here to help.

30-Day Return Window

Eligible in-stock items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be unused and in original condition

  • Products must remain unassembled and unaltered

  • Original packaging, tags, inserts, and accessories must be included

  • Proof of purchase is required

  • Return approval must be requested before the item is shipped back

To request a return, please email info@haveaseatnyc.com with your order number and reason for return.

Return Shipping

Unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or unless the return is due to an error by Have A Seat NYC.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method. Have A Seat NYC is not responsible for return shipments that are lost, delayed, or damaged in transit.

Custom & Made-to-Order Items

Due to the personalized nature of custom, made-to-order, or personalized products, these items are final sale once production has begun.

Custom items are not eligible for cancellation, return, refund, or exchange unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

This includes, but is not limited to, products made with custom colors, custom artwork, logos, personalization, special-order quantities, or customer-provided design files.

Delivery Inspection Requirement

Customers are responsible for inspecting all items upon delivery.

Any visible shipping damage, defects, incorrect items, or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery by emailing:

Please include:

  • Order number

  • Photos of the item

  • Photos of the packaging

  • A description of the issue

Failure to report damage or missing items within this timeframe may limit our ability to assist with carrier, freight, or insurance claims.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will review the issue and, if approved, may offer a replacement, exchange, repair, store credit, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Please do not discard the item or packaging until the issue has been reviewed, as photos and/or return of the product may be required.

Refunds

Once an approved return is received, the item will be inspected.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection and approval.

Please note that your bank or credit card provider may require additional time to process and post the refund.

Items that are returned used, damaged, altered, incomplete, missing packaging, or without prior return approval may be refused or may not qualify for a full refund.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable:

  • Custom, made-to-order, or personalized products

  • Final sale items

  • Clearance items

  • Gift cards

  • Used, damaged, altered, or incomplete products

  • Products returned without original packaging or required accessories

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an eligible in-stock item, please contact us at info@haveaseatnyc.com. Exchanges are subject to product availability and return approval.
