LAS VEGAS, NV — [1/24/26] — Have A Seat NYC, the portable seating brand founded by New York entrepreneur Vincent Nicolosi, made its industry debut this January at the Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show in Las Vegas, where the product was showcased in the Sporticulture booth.
Held January 21–23, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show brings together sports-licensed product makers, buyers, sellers, licensing agencies, and industry leaders across the professional and collegiate sports merchandise market.
The debut marked an important milestone for Have A Seat NYC as Nicolosi introduced his team-branded portable seating concept to the sports licensing community. The lightweight, collapsible seats are designed for tailgating, watch parties, outdoor events, travel, and everyday life on the go. The NFL collection features team-inspired colorways and official team logos, bringing practical fan gear to a category where comfort and portability are always in demand.
Have A Seat NYC’s path into the licensed sports merchandise market began when Nicolosi developed the idea to bring team colors and official logos to portable seating. He pitched the concept to the New York Jets and met with Chris Pierce, VP of Fan Commerce, who referred him to Sporticulture. That connection helped bring the product under the Sporticulture umbrella and into the official NFL licensed merchandise space.
“This has always been about taking something practical and making it more exciting for fans,” said Vincent Nicolosi, founder of Have A Seat NYC. “People need a place to sit at tailgates, games, outdoor events, and all over the city. I saw an opportunity to bring team pride into that experience, and seeing the product debut in Sporticulture’s booth at the Sports Licensing & Tailgate Show was a huge moment.”
The product also caught the attention of veteran sports business reporter Terry Lefton, who highlighted Have A Seat in his Sports Business Journal coverage of the show. In the article, Lefton described Sporticulture’s Have-A-Seat collapsible stool as a new product addressing something “always in short supply at a tailgate gathering — a seat.” The article also noted the product’s portability, approximate three-pound weight, compact disc-like folded form, and initial availability with NFL team logos.
For Nicolosi, the recognition reflects both the usefulness of the product and the opportunity for fan gear that goes beyond traditional apparel and accessories.
“Fans already bring jerseys, hats, coolers, and team gear everywhere they go,” Nicolosi said. “This gives them something useful they can actually sit on and still show off their team.”
The Have A Seat NYC sports collection is exclusively manufactured for Sporticulture and is designed for sports fans, gift buyers, tailgaters, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who wants a portable seating solution that travels easily.
