Custom Seat Artwork Preparation Guide

To ensure the best print quality on your custom seat and adjustable strap, please follow these artwork requirements carefully.

File Requirements

Your artwork for both the seat and the strap must be vector-based. Accepted file formats: .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .eps, and .pdf (vector only). We do NOT accept: .jpg, .png, .gif, Photoshop files, Canva exports, or screenshots. If images are included in your artwork, please vectorize them.

Artwork Guidelines

  • Please use high-resolution source artwork, vectorize any images, convert all text to outlines, and keep line work and details strong and legible.

  • Pixel-based images or photographic artwork may only be used on the top of the seat and must be professionally vectorized before submission. JPGs, PNGs, screenshots, and other low-resolution files are not considered print-ready artwork. While we offer full-color printing, the seat surface is not intended for ultra-fine photographic detail. If vectorizing an image, we recommend simplifying the artwork and using high-resolution source artwork.

  • Consider the color of the seat itself and the black color of the strap in your design and preparation of artwork.

  • The top of each seat is manufactured in two pieces, which creates a subtle circular seam in the center of the seat. When preparing your artwork, you may follow one of two approaches: 1-print ACROSS the seam or 2-print AROUND the seam (see examples below).

  • Make sure all lines and details are thick enough to reproduce clearly. Avoid overly tiny text or intricate details that may not print well at size – especially on the strap.

  • The black strap has a slight texture, which can affect print clarity. Ultra-fine detail, very small type, thin lines, and highly intricate artwork will not print sharply. We recommend using simple vector artwork with bold shapes and legible text for the best results.

Color Guidelines

  • Submit artwork in CMYK only.

  • Please note that colors may appear different in print than on screen.

  • If exact brand color matching is important, please provide Pantone references where applicable.

Prepare Your Artwork for Printing

Please build your artwork using the Adobe Illustrator templates provided for both the top of the seat and the strap. Click here to download the templates.

  • Place all artwork on the top (green labeled) layer that says ARTWORK. You may delete the other two layers that are for your guidance and DO NOT PRINT.

  • Decide whether or not you’ll print ACROSS or AROUND THE SEAM and download the appropriate template, keeping all artwork inside the approved SAFETY ZONE (shown in yellow and on the yellow labeled layer). Do not place important text or logos too close to the edges. Any artwork placed outside the approved area may be cut off or rejected for production. You may delete this layer. It’s only for your guidance and DOES NOT PRINT.

  • The red labeled layer indicates the trim of the strap. It also indicates the trim of the seat and the center seam in the seat. You may delete this layer. It’s only for your guidance and DOES NOT PRINT.

  • The strap artwork template is a section of the strap and will be repeated over the full length of the strap on both sides.

Submission Notes

To ensure the best possible print quality, all artwork submitted for custom orders must meet our file setup requirements before production can begin. Once your artwork is received, it will be reviewed for production readiness. If the file does not meet our submission guidelines, we may request revisions before moving forward. If you prefer, our team can correct, clean up, or prepare the artwork for production for an additional fee.

Artwork Setup Fees

Artwork setup and file correction charges vary depending on the condition of the files submitted and the amount of work required. Estimated charges:

  • Minor file corrections: starting at $35–$75

  • Moderate revisions or production adjustments: $75–$150

  • Extensive cleanup, vectorization, or redraw: $150–$300+

  • Additional client-requested revisions after initial setup: $25–$75 per round

Final pricing will be based on the scope of work required.

Important Notes

  • Production can only begin once final approved, production-ready artwork is received.

  • If revisions are needed, production timelines may be delayed.

  • If you would like us to prepare your files for you, we are happy to help and will provide an estimate based on your artwork.
