Customizing Your Have A Seat

To ensure the best possible result when customizing your Have A Seat NYC seats, our team prepares all production-ready artwork based on the information you provide below. Because of the seat’s construction and the range of logo styles we work with, we ask clients to confirm a few design preferences and brand details before we finalize layouts.

Printable Area & Seam Consideration

The top of each seat is manufactured in two pieces, which creates a subtle seam across the surface. The yellow area shown represents the full printable zone.

When preparing your artwork, we will follow one of two approaches:

Print Across the Seam

  • Artwork is designed to span the full printable area, including the seam.

  • Best suited for bold logos, graphic marks, or designs that remain legible with a minor visual interruption.

  • Examples of this approach appear in the left column.

Print Around the Seam

  • Artwork is positioned to avoid crossing the seam.

  • Ideal for logos that require uninterrupted clarity or precise alignment.

  • Examples of seam-aware layouts appear in the right column.

Corporate Identity Components

We tailor layouts based on how your logo is structured, your corporate identity guidelines and how it can best maximize the space.

Separate Marks

If your logo consists of a symbol and a separate wordmark, if allowed (according to your corporate identity guidelines), we will design the layout using one of the approaches shown above.

Combined Single Mark

If your logo is a combined single symbol/wordmark, we will scale and position it using layouts similar to those shown above.
